Earthquake
Activity

Large international seismic networks such as the Global Seismic
Network (GSN) allow
SASO scientists to maintain a constant watch over the seismic
activity of the entire planet. The maps displayed below represent
a sampling of the most recent seismicity of the world, and the
Western United States.
- Map of Global Seismicity
- This is a USGS map of the world displaying the seismicity of
the planet for the last week as reported by the National
Earthquake Information Center.
- Maps of United States and NE Pacific
Rim Seismicity
- This is a USGS map showing the last 10 days of seismicity
for the Western United States

Earthquakes
Furthermore, SASO operates the IRIS/NSN very broadband
seismic station TUC, which is located in the Santa-Catalina Mountains. Once
transferred from the remote site to our data processing center at the
University of Arizona, data from TUC is made available to researchers around
the world in near-real time through the IRIS Data Management Center (DMC).
SASO also makes data available through our World Wide Web Page.
There are three data products available from this site.
- Current TUC Data
- View the last 24 hours of data recorded at station TUC, Tucson, Arizona.
