Activity
Large international seismic networks such as the Global Seismic
Network (GSN) allow
SASO scientists to maintain a constant watch over the seismic
activity of the entire planet. The maps displayed below represent
a sampling of the most recent seismicity of the world, and the
Western United States.

the planet for the last week as reported by the National
Earthquake Information Center.

Earthquakes
Furthermore, SASO operates the IRIS/NSN very broadband
seismic station TUC, which is located in the Santa-Catalina Mountains. Once
transferred from the remote site to our data processing center at the
University of Arizona, data from TUC is made available to researchers around
the world in near-real time through the IRIS Data Management Center (DMC).
SASO also makes data available through our World Wide Web Page.
